Here are some photos that I took between October 1 and October 7, 2007 while traveling through Entebbe and staying in Kampala, Uganda. I was there to visit a friend and to help them solve some computer problems while investigating what life was like in one of East Africa's most prosperous countries.
Lake VictoriaHere are a few photos of Lake Victoria in the town of Entebbe.Speke Hotel & Shangri-LaAlthough I was only there for a few days, I managed to spend time in more than one room while at Speke Hotel. Here are a couple of views from the two rooms that I spent time in, while at Speke. Unlike Speke, Shangri-La Hotel was very quiet, being located far from major roads. The air was fresh and not polluted with traffic smog. Also, there were no night clubs at Shangri-La to keep me awake until the wee hours of the morning, like there were at Speke. |
